by Is it possible to revisit this mushroom to get an upgraded crown? For instance, you visit him for the first time and get the Silver Crown, can you then later revisit him and get the Gold one?

No, after you get the silver crown from the mushroom XIII you then have to get the other one from cavern of remembrance, that's when sora has to use his skills and abilities to there fullest.

I think I know what your asking, and the answer is no. The one who gives you the crown and keyblade is # XIII, and you only see him once. Sorry for the bad news, but you can redo the other 12 anytime you want.

-Defeating all of the Organization XIII Data Battles
-Beating the 13 Mushroom Heartless' challenges
-Defeating the armored man, Terra
Achieving one of these earns Sora a bronze crown. Achieving two earns a silver crown. Achieving all three gets the gold crown.
So, really, the crown is simply proof of doing these things.
-Defeating all of the Organization XIII Data Battles
-Beating the 13 Mushroom Heartless' challenges
-Defeating the armored man, Terra
Achieving one of these earns Sora a bronze crown. Achieving two earns a silver crown. Achieving all three gets the gold crown.
So, really, the crown is simply proof of doing these things.

That's impossible, you can only get the crown one way and that's after you defeat the mushroom heartless and the organization XII like zion, said.

There are others way though. If you defeat the mushrooms you get the silver crown, if you beat the organization XIII you get the bronze crown!
